Our Surf Camps are suitable for any level, and here future surfers from all over the world can experience the magic of surfing in the magnificent setting of Famara Beach – National Park and UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
On the stunning Famara Beach, a strip of volcanic sand that stretches for 6 km (the longest on the entire island), you will find perfect conditions for learning and practice surfing all year round. Every morning our instructors – certified by the Canarian Surfing Federation (Federación Canaria de Surf, FCS), Spanish Surfing Federation (Federación Española de Surf, FES), by the International Surfing Association (ISA) and British Surfing Association (BSA); and experts in lifesaving and first aid – look for a spot on the beach with the best conditions and that best suits the level of our students to start the lessons.
It doesn’t matter what day you arrive, you can come to the Surf Camp any day of the week and start surfing the next day.

ZooPark Famara Surf, SUP & Kitesurf School organizes kitesurfing camps on Famara Beach on Lanzarote, Canary Islands all year round for beginners, intermediate and advanced students.
We are sure that this is the perfect option to learn Kiteboarding and enjoy your vacation to the fullest doing one of the most spectacular sports out there.
Our Kite Camps don’t have a fixed starting date, we are open Monday through Sunday, so you can arrive at our Camp any time and start your kiting course the next day. When the wind conditions are appropriate, we will go to the beach to train and have fun.
Learning to kite is an activity for everyone, no matter the age or physical condition, nor does it require previous experience in water sports. Here you will acquire all the skills you need to become a totally independent kiter, whether you have flown a kite before or this is your first time.
Our school is an official IKO center and all our instructors have acquired the IKO Instructor Level 2, and are also certified by the Spanish Sailing Federation (Kiteboarding section). The lessons are held in English and Spanish.
If the wind conditions during your stay in Lanzarote do not allow to hold kiteboarding lessons and you would not like to do any other activities (Surf, SUP, diving or hiking), ZooPark Famara guarantees to return all the money paid for kite lessons that you had to miss.
IMPORTANT! Before deciding which level of Kite Camp is suitable for you, please check out the IKO list of levels and objectives to make sure you book a course according to your level, knowledge and experience. If you are not sure what level to take, do not worry, our instructors will evaluate your level on your first day on the beach and give you the lessons accordingly.

Water start
If you have taken a Kitesurfing course before and are able to perform body drag and water start, but for some reason have not managed to master riding a kiteboard (IKO level 2), this course is for you. In the program, we cover aspects like creating a constant pulling force at both sides of the wind window, body position on water start and during riding, feet position on the board and edging techniques. By the end of this course, depending on your individual learning speed, you should be able to comfortably navigate with a kite and begin coming back to your starting point.
Lessons of this Camp cover advanced aspects such as techniques of edging and returning to the same spot, body position in respect of the board and the kite, acceleration and deceleration using edging, changing movement direction, and your first controlled jumps and tricks like Back Loops and Front Loops. All of this in one of the safest and least crowded spots in Europe.
This course is only for those who have completed the steps of IKO Level 2 or even IKO Level 3 but feel like they should improve their kitesurfing level under the supervision and guidance of experienced instructors.
